(Can you make out Danny at the wheel?)

(Can you make out Danny at the wheel?) After reading a story about the Swan Princess, Susie was bound and determined to make herself into one. She decided to have me draw a swan’s head and neck (wearing a crown, of course), twice, which she cut out. She did the same with wings. Then she instructed me to fasten these “masks” to her head in the front and the back and the wings to her sides. She wore (mostly) white clothes and kneeled on a white pillow. She was very proud of her creation, and I was proud of her vision and execution!
The girls had “crazy hat day” and “pajama day” at school a while ago. The girls were really excited about it, even though EVERY day is crazy hat day and pajama day at our house!
You know you’re in the trenches of toddlerhood when you’re in the bathtub trying to clean an explosive dirty diaper off of one child while the other child decides he’s hungry and tries to make himself eggs. Ever seen a 2 year old try to crack an egg? Let’s just say I had another mess to clean up! These boys keep me hopping – and laughing! Hmmm…I think I need to work on my disciplining skills. Apparently I’m more laugh-inspiring than fear-inspiring! Grammie and Aunt Angie flew home today, leaving four very sad kids (and their mom) behind! We loved every minute of their time out here. I can’t thank them enough for all our adventures – – big and small!
Grammie always makes our days extra special! Whether we’re reading…
or getting ready… or doing crafts…
or greeting the bus…
or just cuddling… …everything is better with Grammie around! |
