The girls put on lovely dresses this evening (given to us by Jim’s Aunt Mary – thank you!), and waltzed around the house pretending to be princesses. Eventually, Becky twirled over to me and announced:
“I want to go to a bowl.”
“A what?” I responded, thinking she’d lost her mind.
“I want to go to a bowl,” she repeated emphatically.
“A bowl?” And then it hit me. “Oh, you mean a BALL! You want to go to a ball!”
So I ushered the girls into the family room, turned on some music (Wee Sing Fun & Folk would have to do), and told them to get a dance partner. Susie picked a puppy:
And Becky chose a monkey:
I even tried to teach them how to curtsy like princesses, but their attempts looked more like yoga positions:
So even though we may have been lacking the formality of a royal ball, I’d say the evening ended happily ever after!
Oh my goodness Becky WOULD choose that monkey! 🙂
Love the dresses and the dancing. I especially love the last picture of the happy princesses! They certainly look alike in that photo !
Thanks for the smiles.
