Last week, after a night of heavy rains, the boys and I went on a puddle-jumping/worm-hunting/mud-caking expedition.
We started off with a vigorous ride:
Then we abandoned our vehicles in search of some puddles:
Then we spotted an earthworm. That poor waterlogged creature had no idea how much joy he brought to my two bug-loving boys!
We tried to locate more wiggly critters, but gave up and just played in the mud instead:
Then we finished up our adventure with some rock shoveling. And then I put the boys to bed for a nap and I did lots of muddy laundry!
Happy Happy Happy….just a warning…check their pockets after these adventures…I once found a frog and not ashamed to say I squealed like a baby girl…..after that I was always a little cautious but found many treasures….my son as a little boy loved bugs, frogs, snakes and all animals and anything that went fast…..actually not much has changed over the 37 years except maybe no frogs in his pockets …. today, you would probably find a spark plug or two …laughing…love the pictures
I never thought you would be such a ‘natural’ with little boys who love mud and crawly things!! Bravo!
YES! WHAT A PERFECT DAY!!
