This is how I found the girls a few nights ago when I performed my routine tuck-in before I went to sleep:
I was so surprised to see the girls in the same bed that I brought Jim back into the room with me to view the sight. We stood there smiling at our sweet sleeping daughters, who had sought each other’s company earlier in the evening. These two are so close in so many ways. I’m constantly amazed at how well they get along, how quickly they resolve their spats (usually within minutes), how much they love being together. When I first found out in early 2008 that we were expecting two girls, I spent a crazy amount of time worrying about whether or not these girls would be friends as they grew up. And now, just look at them! Inseparable, in a wonderful way. Of course I have no idea what the future holds for their relationship, but I am so thankful they have this foundation of friendship, this kindred connection…every night is like a sleepover with a best friend.
