We were going to be away near the time of Jimmy’s actual fifth birthday, so we opted to have a small early get-together with some family and friends. Jimmy chose a Batman theme – he loves the idea of super heroes, even though he’s never seen a real super hero cartoon or movie (unless you count the cute kid’s TV show “PJ Masks” about some grade-school kids who fight a pint-size bad guy in their pajamas!). He loves the idea of good guys beating bad guys, and I figure that’s a wonderful concept to encourage! Here’s his Batman cake (grocery-store cake all the way!):
I printed out a few old-school Batman word bubbles (I loved the old TV show re-runs!):
Here’s the amazing banner Becky made for the party – I love her decorations!:
Jimmy requested pizza from his favorite pizza parlor, our friends brought delicious chicken wings (thanks again, Anne!), and we had a wonderful time relaxing and celebrating Jimmy together!
Here’s Danny modeling Jimmy’s new cape:
And Jimmy modeling his beloved new snorkel set from Bubba and Pappy. He’s never enjoyed bath time more – just wait until he gets into the pool this summer!
Aww what a cute party!! He looks beyond thrilled! Miss you guys! <3
Looks like Jimmy ‘rocked’ his 5th Birthday ! Great Times for everyone !!
