As our hot, humid weather slowly fades into fall, I look back on the last few months with joy. We had a truly great summer (an article I read used the term “the summer of endless awesome,” which really does apply here)! As a last hoorah before school started, we took the kids on a quick RV camping trip to the shore. It was one of those nights where the sunset just kept getting more and more picturesque. We had a delicious dinner grilled by Pappy, we rode bikes around the campground, the kids frolicked in the sand and waves with Bubba, Jim and I took turns paddleboarding as the sun went down, and then we roasted marshmallows for s’mores around a campfire. It couldn’t get much more idyllic. Here are some of the pictures – more to come tomorrow!
