Blessed Be

I’m happy to report that we are still blessed to have our foster son with us (the kids have christened him “Baby X”).  He’s four weeks old now, and he’s an absolute delight.  A delight that requires feeding every three hours round the clock, but still – a beautiful delight! He’s growing like crazy and really starting to fill out his adorable cheeks.  The kids are smitten beyond belief and still beg to hold him every chance they get.  I’m really enjoying all the snuggles and soaking in every minute with this little one, since we don’t know how much longer we’ll have him for.  It’s a bittersweet reminder that the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, but even in the midst of the emotional upheaval, blessed be the name of the Lord!

Here’s a few pictures of our family with sweet Baby X.  I’ve had to edit some of the photos to remove the image of the baby’s face for privacy reasons – I’m sorry it looks so odd!  But I thought the pictures were just to sweet not to share!

I’m just so proud of you. Is that possible of someone I’ve never met face to face?? I can’t imagine how busy you already were with FOUR…. and yet you have obeyed God’s call and extend your love and compassion and HEART in this way… knowing that this love is going to hurt. Praying you get some longer stretches of sleep and for your mom-heart. 🙂 x0x
