A few weeks ago, we FINALLY got a good-sized snowstorm – the only problem was, Jim wasn’t around to enjoy it or plow us out of it! But he dutifully explained to me over FaceTime how to work the snowblower on the tractor, and so I was able to at least clear a path down to the road so Jim could drive up when he arrived home from his business trip later that night. The experience gave me even more appreciation for my hard-working husband and his many talents (and toys)!
Here’s a picture of the snow piling up outside – I think we ended up with around 13 inches:

And here’s one of my passes with the snowblower (I didn’t take a picture of the top of the driveway where I couldn’t figure out how to turn around without making a mess, ha!):

And here are the kids reveling in their snowday:

We found plenty of activities to entertain us indoors too, like Rummikub (my favorite game!):

And making cookies (thanks Grammie, for the baking kit):

And addressing dozens of class valentines:

I asked the boys to help shovel the deck, but this was about as far as they got before they threw in the towel:

And last but not least, here’s Jimmy’s hand-written message to his dad: “Daddy we’re waiting for you.” We were all very eager for Jim to get home so he could enjoy the snow with us!

SO COOL!!!!!!!
