End of Summer Fun

We had a wonderful time at the lake on Monday.  The girls were thrilled they got to play with the big kids while I drove the boat:

Susie spent most of the day in Beth’s lap:

Both awake and asleep (I think the arrangement was satisfactory for all involved!):

The girls were also excited to partake of all the yummy snack food our friends brought, especially the lollipops:

Jim had fun getting to do all sorts of watersports, like trying to double up on the wakesurf with Uriah (it didn’t work very well):

But Uriah was inspired to try double body surfing with Chris (that didn’t work super well, either, but everyone had a good time!):

We were so happy that Gabe traveled up to spend the weekend with us, that we made sure he got in plenty of Mable-ing:

As well as lots of babysitting (thanks, Gabe!):

And the big girls got in some pretty crazy Mable rides as well.  They were far braver than me; I was content to stay warm and dry in the driver’s seat!
