My Faith and Joy… and Boys!

Growing up in the California suburbs, I always wondered what it would be like to jump in a huge leaf pile.  Now that I’m surrounded by deciduous trees in Connecticut, I know – it’s so much fun!  And it’s even more fun to watch your kids jump in one! 

Even cleaning up the leaves is fun, if you’re 18 months old and have a dad who does all the work!

Here’s Jimmy’s latest trick: hiding.  Only I don’t think he’s mastered the concept yet..

“If I can’t see you, you can’t see me!”

When both girls wanted to hold Danny the other afternoon, Becky came up with a compromise.  She said she would hold his head, and Susie could hold his legs.

I think I have a young Solomon on my hands! 

(Let’s just hope the girls don’t start sawing their brothers in two!)

Jim: “Jimmy, see the guys in black and yellow? We’re rooting for them.”

Jimmy: “Dad, could you believe that ref’s bogus call?”

Jimmy: “What was Roethlisberger thinking with that pass?”

Jim: “Oooh, this is getting exciting!”

Jimmy: “What a nail-biting finish!”

Jim: “Touchdown Steelers!”

You know you’re smitten with a baby when you can’t decide which picture in a series of nearly identical pictures is the cutest!

(He’s not quite strong enough to sit alone in the Bumbo yet, but I think he’ll like it once he can!)
