It’s so nice for the Lego store to set up a play area for little kids. Here’s to another Lego lover-in-training!
We recently finished up three wonderful weeks of Gospel meetings with our dear friend Gene. We’re so thankful that he invested so much time, energy and interest into the meetings, and into our family. It was a series we’ll never forget!
If Jimmy ever tells me he feels like he has a monkey on his back, I’ll show him this picture and explain that his little sister put one there, once upon a time!
This tooth fairy has been super busy, thanks to one little lady! Susie has lost three teeth in one week! I don’t know how she’s managing to eat anything with all the holes in her mouth, ha!
Following on the heels of a snowstorm a few weeks ago, we were treated to a few glorious days of near 70-degree weather. It was like a dream! The kids spent all afternoon outside tromping in the mud, riding bikes, and I even spotted the boys jumping on the trampoline shirtless they were so hot! Now that we’ve been slammed with another snowstorm, looking at these pictures gives me hope that spring will come one day soon!
The kids earn money every week for their daily and weekly chores. They haven’t mastered the art of saving yet, so the funds tend to burn a hole in their pockets as soon as they get above $20. Here’s the Matchbox helicopter that Danny fell in love with and bought with his own money:
He’s a proud owner! There’s just something special between Danny and Tazie. They adore each other, hug each other when hurt or sad, and just like to be together. A few days ago, I thanked Danny for keeping an eye on Tazie when the kids were playing outside. He looked up at me in surprise for thanking him, and said matter-of-factly, “I’ll ALWAYS help Tazie.” Tazie loves to follow Danny around:
Sometimes, she just can’t keep up with her big brother. He does have longer, faster legs!
But they always end up back together again. 🙂
The kids and I tagged along on a trip Jim needed to make to Massachusetts a few weeks ago so he could drop us off at our friends’ house on the way. The kids had so much fun hanging out! I hope we can return very soon! Here’s Danny and his buddy being silly with balloons:
And three beautiful ladies commiserating over having multiple brothers! Fish ownership update! In the last few weeks, we have brought a total of 13 goldfish into our home. We have managed to kill 10 of them, yikes! We have three remaining, but one of them isn’t looking too promising the last few days. I don’t know what we’re doing wrong! I’m just glad we only have to pay 19 cents per fish, and the kids enjoy going back to the store for more!
Our last snow fall was melting fast in the warm sun, so the kids made the most of it! They helped Tazie around the yard in the sled:
They built snow forts and snow “thrones”: Jim even got in on the snow fun with snowmobile trips around the yard: And there were some epic snowball fights: And snow naps: Now that was my kind of snow day! |
