August 24, 2017, at 10:35 pm | We finished up our wonderful time with our Arizona cousins with a trip to the paint-your-own pottery store. This was my boys’ first time there, and they loved it! All the kids did a great job.

And of course we had to do one last boating trip:

And one last go-cart run:

I had to stick the following picture in here to document how amazing my mother-in-law is. She voluntarily watched ELEVEN children (our five, plus Jon and Kate, plus an additional four kids) while Jim and I went to a friend’s wedding. She’s my hero!

See? Here’s Jan keeping our kids in line. Never cross a grandma with a water gun!

August 16, 2017, at 9:33 pm | I love these post-ice cream shots of Danny, especially the one where he’s gawking at something in the sky!

S’more time!

Good thing Jim likes getting such roomy RVs so we can hold 7 kids!

The kids were a big help in the camping clean-up process!

August 11, 2017, at 10:41 pm | Once we got back from our quick trip to Boston, we dove headfirst into all the fun summer activities our little corner of the world had to offer! We walked on the local bike trail:

We frolicked at the state park:

We made silly mustache purchases:

We stuffed ourselves full of yummy food:

And of course, ate lots and lots of ice cream!

Ice cream’s calcium gives us strong bones, right?

August 10, 2017, at 10:39 pm | We’re still working out the details of the photo sharing, so for tonight I’ll leave you with a little quote from Susie that captures her adorable optimism. The kids were all playing monopoly with their dad (by the way, I LOVE watching them play together. Jim is teaching them all sorts of things in the game, from negotiation to the value of real estate to addition/subtraction), and Susie was sent to jail for the umpteenth time that game. Instead of grousing like the other kids did when they ended up stuck in prison, she chirped: “Well, at least I’ll have time to sit and think!” I love that girl’s perspective on life!

ABOUT US I'm blessed to be saved by the grace of God, loved by my wonderful husband Jim, and embraced by my twin girls, Rebecca Faith and Susanna Joy and my sons Jimmy and Danny. I started this blog in May 2008 when I was hospitalized for pre-term labor at 24 weeks gestation. The Lord allowed me to keep the girls inside until they were 34 weeks along, and on July 27th, Rebecca made her debut, followed by Susanna, five minutes later, on July 28th. We ecstatically welcomed Jimmy into our lives on April 25th, 2011, and Danny on August 31, 2012. This blog has been a personal journal of faith and motherhood and the only way I can remember which child did what and when. Thanks for stopping by to share in my Faith and Joy! Feel free to e-mail me at: [email protected].
