Uno

Right now, there’s a card-playing craze sweeping our household – Uno!  Danny demands to play Uno at least twice a day, sometimes more.  It’s been a fantastic game all of us can enjoy!  It’s especially hilarious to watch the boys’ reactions when they use the “special” cards in the deck, like the Draw Four, or Skip or Reverse.  They giggle mischievously and act like they’re getting away with something – it’s adorable!

Learning Letters

Even if Baby T is a less-than-attentive student at this age, Jimmy is still a very eager teacher!

All By Himself

Now this picture may not look like much (especially since I didn’t zoom in!), but it’s actually marking quite a milestone – Jimmy learned to swing by himself!  He was SO excited to come home from school the other day and announce he was now capable of pumping all by himself.  He’s growing up so fast!  Wasn’t it just yesterday that he was swinging for the first time?? (Make sure you check out the video at the end of the post in the previous link – it’s so cute to see Jimmy’s expression as he swings!)

Fall Walk

Okay, here’s even more fall beauty.  I can’t get enough of it!

Perfect Pumpkins

The weather has been so beautiful this fall that we had to sneak in another trip to a pumpkin patch.  We went with Jim’s mom and enjoyed the gorgeous scenery together.  It was a perfect fall afternoon!

A-Maze-ing Day

We went to our first-ever corn maze a few weeks back.  It was challenging!  We went with another family, and the other mom and I managed to lose almost all of the kids within the first 30 seconds of entering the maze (despite our repeated protests for the kids to stay within sight).  It felt like forever until we found them!  Thankfully, the kids weren’t even fazed!  We kept a tighter rein on them after that, and enjoyed spending almost an hour wandering through the maze.  It was so weird to not be able to get my bearings because of the high corn stalks.  I’m no navigator, so when we stumbled upon the “short-cut” exit, we quickly took it and spent the rest of our time at the farm in the pumpkin patch.  What a great day!

One Down…

On the morning of October 6, Jimmy lost his first tooth!  He was so relieved to have it out – he was not a fan of the wiggling (it reminded me of when he first got his teeth as an infant – he wasn’t crazy about that experience, either!).  Jimmy was excited to get the whole “tooth fairy” experience, complete with the special pillow, book reading, coins and a little prize.  This tooth fairy is going to go broke with all the teeth in this house!

Apple Picking

We had a beautifully warm day off of school in early October, and we celebrated by going apple picking at a nearby orchard with a friend.  It was perfect!

This pretend tombstone beside the orchard gave me a chuckle!
