One of the best perks of having an older sibling is having someone who can read to you when mom’s too busy fixing dinner!
Searching for buried backyard treasure? Or just digging in the mud? Equally fun at this house!
Just in case you were wondering…”Bird Paradise is Open!” (no, we don’t have any pet birds…I guess this is wishful thinking on Becky’s part!)
I love this picture! The two boys have been getting along SO well the past month or two. Of course, they still do the normal brother-fighting stuff, but they’re starting to really play happily TOGETHER, seeking each other out for imaginary play, kicking balls around the yard together, running cars in circles together…it’s so fun to watch! It melts my heart when I see the boys being nice to each other – here’s Jimmy volunteering to help Danny with his shoe:
We tend to go to the library every week to two weeks and stock up on about 20-30 books, plus a few DVDs thrown in for good measure. When we get home from the library, there is a period of calm in the house like no other time. Everyone is happily absorbed as they flip through page after page – I love my little bookworms (and I love those few moments of quiet)!
Here’s a close-up of Danny’s expression:
Watch out world – the boys are on the move! (and don’t worry, Mom, they put on helmets soon after!) Jimmy has been quite the videographer lately. His main subject is his little brother – sometimes Danny is a willing participant, other times not so much. Here are two of Jimmy’s latest creations – both completed entirely on his own. For those who are struggling to interpret Danny’s speech in the second video, here’s as much as I could decipher – Danny starts the story with him and his dad on a snowmobile, and then a one-eyed man enters the picture who jumps on a four-wheeler. There is a policeman, looking for a bad guy. As far as I can tell, the one-eyed man is the bad guy, and he gets shot then put in jail, and then everyone is safe. And then a mommy comes in to ask how everyone’s day is. The End.
