Baby Talk Again

Well, tomorrow’s the day we’ll meet our baby boy, Lord willing!  Tonight, I sat the girls down for a little pre-baby interview.  You’ll see that Becky’s a little giddy and Susie’s a little tired, thanks to the excitement of their first day of pre-school (which went really well!), but they’re both thrilled to welcome their brother into the family.   I went back and watched the videos that the girls made prior to Jimmy’s birth (here and here), and I just can’t believe how much younger the girls seemed 16 months ago.  It makes me so excited to watch all my kids grow up together!

Okay, baby can come now!  Grammie’s here!!!

Front Porch

The kids adore being at Bubba and Pappy’s house.  Especially when they get to spend time on the front porch swinging and singing…

…and smooching!

Blessed by Bliss

Have I mentioned lately how blessed I feel to have these two girls in my life?

004

And how blessed they are to have each other?

Helmet Hair

I’ve been tempted a time or two to require Jimmy to wear full-time head protection, given his fearlessness and boldness.

And now, thanks to his love for his sisters’ new helmets, I’m happy to say he’s doing it voluntarily…

012

…However, in exchange for head protection…

010

…he may end up needing neck adjustments…

015

…those helmets are heavy!

Underwater Progress

Even though the girls took two weeks of daily swim lessons at the town beach this summer, they’re not much closer to actually swimming.  They’re very comfortable with flotation devices, but have yet to venture out unassisted.  One of the main hold-ups is their inability to dunk their heads underwater.  They just haven’t figured out how to hold their breath.  But Jim got them these goggles that seal off their noses, and that’s helped them get a little bolder.

I’m just glad they love the water!
