October 18, 2012, at 10:32 pm | We got the kids “gourmet” lollipops after they received their flu shots last weekend. It wasn’t my smartest move to let Jimmy start his in the car:
When Jimmy wanted to eat the rest of his lollipop after he woke up from his nap (this was a never-ending lollipop), I smartened up, stripped him down, and stuck him in his highchair. He was still coated in red sticky goo, but at least it didn’t generate more laundry!
October 17, 2012, at 10:40 pm | It’s hard to spot them all in between the toys, but there are four kids in this crib!

October 15, 2012, at 10:24 pm | My kids love anything on wheels – even ONE wheel!
October 14, 2012, at 9:28 pm | We were blessed to have a wonderful preacher and his wife stay with us for a few days last week. They were an amazing couple who blessed us immensely with their presence. It’s always fun to have company who doesn’t mind crazy kids running around! I hope it won’t be long before we can see Phil and Rachel again. They will be missed!
October 12, 2012, at 11:13 pm | My sister got the girls “Pillow Pets” over two years ago, and they remain their most treasured toys. And now, their most decorated!
Meet Susie’s new and improved Ducky:
And Becky’s new and improved turtle:
But you know they couldn’t stop there…Meet the new and improved Jimmy!
October 11, 2012, at 10:39 pm | The girls are back home!! I’m very happy to have everyone under the same roof.
October 10, 2012, at 9:31 pm | You may have heard of distracted driving, or driving while texting…
…now you’ve seen a case of driving while sweeping!
October 9, 2012, at 9:53 pm | What do you do when you have one crying infant who refuses to nap, one squirmy toddler who refuses to sit still, and one tired mama who doesn’t want to make dinner?
Why, you go to the mall, of course!
I dragged the boys out to the mall this evening to take advantage of the food court and a change of scenery. I know shopping isn’t exactly Jimmy’s cup of tea, so I made sure I detoured past the lawncare display for his sake.
I also detoured past Starbucks for my sake (Danny came along for the ride)!
October 8, 2012, at 9:28 pm | I’m so glad I’ve gotten to spend more one-on-one time with Jimmy. He keeps me smiling – and running (the child never stops)!

ABOUT US I'm blessed to be saved by the grace of God, loved by my wonderful husband Jim, and embraced by my twin girls, Rebecca Faith and Susanna Joy and my sons Jimmy and Danny. I started this blog in May 2008 when I was hospitalized for pre-term labor at 24 weeks gestation. The Lord allowed me to keep the girls inside until they were 34 weeks along, and on July 27th, Rebecca made her debut, followed by Susanna, five minutes later, on July 28th. We ecstatically welcomed Jimmy into our lives on April 25th, 2011, and Danny on August 31, 2012. This blog has been a personal journal of faith and motherhood and the only way I can remember which child did what and when. Thanks for stopping by to share in my Faith and Joy! Feel free to e-mail me at: [email protected].
