You want me to do WHAT on this thing?
Don’t I look nice just sitting here?
Whoah! This thing was faster than it looked! Glad I’m in good hands!

You want me to do WHAT on this thing? Don’t I look nice just sitting here? Whoah! This thing was faster than it looked! Glad I’m in good hands! We had a wonderful weekend with dear friends who came to visit. There’s not much I love more than enjoying the outdoors with good company (especially company that comes with really cute kids)!
Susie was thrilled she got to help with all the babies:
Ashley is always so amazing with the kids:
Here she is with her own sweet bundle of dimpled (and occasionally mustached) joy:
Miss Ellee kept us in stitches the whole weekend, and her sister Peyton was a little doll:
Susie rode the tube with the big boys like she’d been doing it all her life – can you see her squished in between the guys?:
Breton is a natural born boater (and he already knows snacking is half the fun of boating):
Danny was content to hang out and smile at our pretty friend Katelyn and her soon-to-arrive baby girl:
Sweet Kaitlyn and her adorable girls:
The kids were an ecstatic, gooey mess after making s’mores following a full day of boating:
See you next time, friends! Here are two brief videos of the boys that manage to capture their personalities. Jimmy descending his grandparents’ stair case the way he lives life – at breakneck speed and with the full intention of amusing the crowd:
Danny playing at the park the way he lives life – with an infectious laugh and thoroughly entertained by his siblings: I came in the family room the other day and found the girls vigorously flossing their teeth. Well, at least they were vigorously sucking on floss. I kept hearing them say, “Yum, yum!” Maybe I should stop buying the mint flavor if I want to have any left for me! Jimmy’s first work of art (that didn’t end up chewed, torn or drooled upon)! The day has come when one of my children operated a piece of equipment I couldn’t. The child was Jimmy. I was having trouble printing a map out for the kids, and so I stood, staring at my computer, willing it to print wirelessly. I had just checked in the office, where the printer is located, and couldn’t find anything wrong with the machine. While I was back in the kitchen, muttering at my computer, I saw Jimmy head into the office. I made a mental note to go get him in a minute so he didn’t yank all the wires out or cause more problems. But before I could get to the office, Jimmy ran out, printed paper in hand. And the printer continued to work beautifully from then on. I don’t know what Jimmy did to that printer in those few minutes he was alone in the office, but I’m looking forward to a future in which I can send my pint-sized IT reinforcements in to fix all my tech issues! Susie has been repeatedly requesting “breakfast in bed.” Well, I think this is as close as they’re gonna get!
Even Danny is getting in on this playdate (or at least, the snack time)! |
