Full Cart

Good thing I ran out of space in that cart, otherwise my Costco bill would have been even more ridiculous!

Brainy Becky

We already know that Becky has a tendency to dramatize the Biblical creation story.  Here’s her latest addition:

Becky: “In the Garden of Eden, God took one of Adam’s brains and made it into a girl named Eve.”

Rocker Girls

It’s nice to know the girls aren’t too big to squeeze together onto their favorite chair for a rocking good time!

Here’s a current clip of their rocker antics (note Jimmy plotting his escape in the background):

And here they are almost three years ago with the same chair.  Is it just me, or was that chair a lot bigger back then? Winking smile

Dollhouse

The girls discovered their older cousin Alli’s old dollhouse at their Bubba and Pappy’s house this weekend.  It was surreal (and wonderful) for me to watch them playing with something I so vividly remember Alli playing with when she was young!

Never Too Early

This one’s for you, Grandpa!

Food for Thought

Becky: “Is there food in Heaven?”

Me: “I’m not sure…but I know you’ll never go hungry in Heaven.”

Becky: “But I want food there!”

Me: “Maybe there’s food…I’m just not sure.”

Becky: “What kind of food?”

Me: “Well, what’s your favorite thing to eat?”

Becky: “Hmm….things with sugar.  Will there be food with sugar in Heaven, or do we have to eat healthy stuff?”

Chubby Bunny

What is about chubby baby legs that make me turn to goo inside?

I just love them! (And the kid they’re attached to!)

Sibling Sentiments

One of my favorite parts of parenting right now is watching my girls and boys interact.

The girls absolutely adore Danny because he’s soft and squishy and doesn’t steal their stuff:

Danny absolutely adores his brother because he’s big and squishy and steals everything:

And Jimmy absolutely adores his sisters, who aren’t very squishy but who do really cool stuff.  He wants to do EVERYTHING his sisters do.  I mean everything:

Jimmy giggles when they laugh, scampers when they run, scribbles when they color, spins when they dance…it’s hilarious and heartwarming for me to watch them grow up together.

I’m so thankful I have them, and I’m so thankful they have each other.

Messy Moments

Reason #205 that I love my hand-vacuum:

Jimmy is a little overzealous when helping me measure out the rice.

Do you know how much mess one overturned cup of rice makes? Good thing he loves to vacuum!

Jump Away

It’s funny how old toys become new again once someone else is enjoying them.  I brought a hand-me-down “jumperoo” toy out of our basement recently, and Danny’s had to fight for a spot!  Good thing the thing is well-built; it’s getting pushed to its limits by some bouncy big kids!

And here are the interlopers!
