In the Trenches

You know you’re in the trenches of toddlerhood when you’re in the bathtub trying to clean an explosive dirty diaper off of one child while the other child decides he’s hungry and tries to make himself eggs.  Ever seen a 2 year old try to crack an egg?  Let’s just say I had another mess to clean up!  These boys keep me hopping – and laughing!

He Laughs in the Face of…No?

Hmmm…I think I need to work on my disciplining skills.  Apparently I’m more laugh-inspiring than fear-inspiring!

Thanks for the Adventures

Grammie and Aunt Angie flew home today, leaving four very sad kids (and their mom) behind! We loved every minute of their time out here.  I can’t thank them enough for all our adventures – – big and small!

An American Man

Jimmy: “I like Jesus.  I like God.  I like Kate.  I like cookies.  I like raw meat.”

First Snowfall

We had our first snow the other day.  It was only a dusting, but it whet the kids’ appetite for more.

Jimmy kept saying: “Yay!  I can’t WAIT for winter to come!!!”

Me?  I could keep waiting.  But seeing the kids’ excitement helped make me a little less wary of the white stuff.
