I read this “definition” of a boy recently, and I thought it described Jimmy perfectly:
Boy: Noise with dirt on it.
Or in his case, cream cheese.

Whether they’re moving at breakneck speed…
…or going slow and steady…
…these cousins know how to have fun! Today was the girls’ last day of preschool. They had a wonderful time this year, always looking forward to the two afternoons a week when they attended, and always coming home full of smiles (although not full of stories about class – I had to pry those out of them!). The teacher said the girls are definitely ready for kindergarten in the Fall. How do my babies keep getting so grown up?! 🙂
Here they are on their first day of preschool last September:
And here they are today with their teacher, Miss Kim:
Summer, here we come (as long as the weather cooperates)! After we tucked our happily exhausted kids into bed tonight, Jim and I were talking about how blessed they are to have cousins with whom they get along so well. These kids played NONSTOP all day long, and they went to bed begging for more. Here’s a conversation I overheard yesterday: Jonathan: “Becky, I can’t wait til you sleep over with us.” Becky: “I know! I LOVE YOU, JONATHAN!” These kids are so blessed to have each other!
Hooray, the cousins are here! Let the fun begin!
You want me to do WHAT on this thing?
Don’t I look nice just sitting here?
Whoah! This thing was faster than it looked! Glad I’m in good hands!
We had a wonderful weekend with dear friends who came to visit. There’s not much I love more than enjoying the outdoors with good company (especially company that comes with really cute kids)!
Susie was thrilled she got to help with all the babies:
Ashley is always so amazing with the kids:
Here she is with her own sweet bundle of dimpled (and occasionally mustached) joy:
Miss Ellee kept us in stitches the whole weekend, and her sister Peyton was a little doll:
Susie rode the tube with the big boys like she’d been doing it all her life – can you see her squished in between the guys?:
Breton is a natural born boater (and he already knows snacking is half the fun of boating):
Danny was content to hang out and smile at our pretty friend Katelyn and her soon-to-arrive baby girl:
Sweet Kaitlyn and her adorable girls:
The kids were an ecstatic, gooey mess after making s’mores following a full day of boating:
See you next time, friends!
Here are two brief videos of the boys that manage to capture their personalities. Jimmy descending his grandparents’ stair case the way he lives life – at breakneck speed and with the full intention of amusing the crowd:
Danny playing at the park the way he lives life – with an infectious laugh and thoroughly entertained by his siblings: |
