January 7, 2015, at 11:30 pm | Jimmy: “You don’t try to peel your eyebrows off. It hurts.”

Jimmy: “Mommies cook more and daddies fight [bad guys] more.”
*****
Becky: “Susie, Daddy’s phone is THIS BIG!!” (holding out her hands)
Susie: “That’s not very big. A phone would be big if it was the size of our house.”

I was relating the lesson of the boy who cried wolf to Jimmy. He pondered my words a moment. I was impressed that he really seemed to be considering the moral of the story. He then looked up and said, “Mommy…wolves are made out of dogs.”

I was walking behind Danny when he suddenly looked up at me, laughed, and exclaimed, “No monster, just mommy.”
January 6, 2015, at 10:35 pm | One of the Christmas presents Susie wrote on her wish list this year was a photo of herself. When I didn’t supply one, she took matters into her own hands and made herself a mini-me!
January 5, 2015, at 10:48 pm | The girls may not use these soccer goals for their intended purpose, but they sure have lots of fun with them!
January 4, 2015, at 9:49 pm | I’ve never thought Susie looked much like me until my mom sent me this photo of myself as a child – I was sticking out a top loose tooth, just like Susie does!
See the resemblance?
And just for kicks, here’s a picture of my mom and her brother with their own missing teeth!
Thanks, Mom, for sending me the photos – and thanks to my Gramma for saving them! Oh, and a great big Happy Birthday to my wonderful mom! We love you!!!

ABOUT US I'm blessed to be saved by the grace of God, loved by my wonderful husband Jim, and embraced by my twin girls, Rebecca Faith and Susanna Joy and my sons Jimmy and Danny. I started this blog in May 2008 when I was hospitalized for pre-term labor at 24 weeks gestation. The Lord allowed me to keep the girls inside until they were 34 weeks along, and on July 27th, Rebecca made her debut, followed by Susanna, five minutes later, on July 28th. We ecstatically welcomed Jimmy into our lives on April 25th, 2011, and Danny on August 31, 2012. This blog has been a personal journal of faith and motherhood and the only way I can remember which child did what and when. Thanks for stopping by to share in my Faith and Joy! Feel free to e-mail me at: [email protected].
