We packed a lot of activities into the girls’ birthday week – bowling, presents, merry-go-round, and pottery painting. I think I had just as much fun as they did!
On the way to a Gospel meeting, the Lord put the brightest rainbow in the sky I’ve ever seen! We could see it from end to end – a beautiful start to a great evening!
The girls had been begging all summer long to do a lemonade stand. We took one of the cousins’ last nights here to to set up a little table at the end of the driveway. Unfortunately, before we had a single sale, we got soaked by a sudden downpour and ended up packing up our supplies and drinking the lemonade ourselves. So we didn’t make any money, but we made lots of fun memories!
After our camping trip, we took a trip to Groton and got to visit a submarine. The kids loved it (especially Jimmy, our burgeoning history buff). And they LOVED getting to push all the buttons on the mock control panel!
After Groton, we headed over to Mystic Seaport. Even though we didn’t go inside the seaport, we loved the shops (and the ice cream and the ducks)!
I’m still sorting through “cousin” pictures, so here’s some from our camping trip to the shore. What’s more fun than RV camping? RV camping with six young kids! (Really, it’s fun!!):
