Becky’s Dream House

Becky drew this picture of her dream house – a modern mansion with huge windows, built into the side of a rocky cliff, surrounded by waterfalls.  I love it!

First Day of School

Better late than never, right?  Sorry for my long absence!  Crazy days around here, but I didn’t want to miss posting the first day of school pictures!

Here are the girls starting Sixth Grade.  I’m blown away by how amazing these young ladies are!

And here’s my boys, who were only too happy to pose outside on their beloved vehicles:

And be still my heart, it’s Tazie’s turn too!!

Ocean City Pics 6

Tazie was a VERY enthusiastic beachgoer this year:

The beach game tradition continues!

As does the tradition (now in its second year) of the crazy blue beach bean bag chair that Jim loves, lol!

Burying Tazie’s legs:

She loved it!

This girl may not love the beach, but she loves a book!

And these girls love the water!

10-cent ski ball is the best:

A little friendly (or not-so-friendly, lol) Patriots vs. Steelers rivalry!

I should have had some more pictures after these, but my phone decided to croak as soon as I got back from vacation, and I lost the last few pictures from our trip.  I was just thankful most of them were downloaded in the nick of time.  It was a wonderful vacation, and I love looking back on these pictures!

Boys breakfast with Pappy!!

There were some intense games of shuffleboard this year.  The kids are getting pretty good!

Daddy even came down to the beach (not his favorite place, lol!):

Can you believe that’s Becky, Jimmy and Alli in the front row of the rollercoaster up there?!?!?!

The rest of us stuck closer to the ground:

Tazie in action:

We made time for our favorite pizza, waffle and ice cream place!

Jim impressed us all with his fast pitch:

And Danny and Becky did awesome with climbing – they both made it to the top!

More fun with friends and family!

Now that the kids are older, we’re able to do a lot more bike riding in the mornings.

We’re always happy when our rides coincide with the flag raising ceremony.  I tear up every time!

Sweet girls!

This babe was ready for another round at the beach!

Burying siblings never gets old, lol!

The girls continued their love of shopping for their tiny glass animals collection:

And it’s always a bonus when we bump into our favorite people!

Danny showing off an especially long curly fry:

Everyone’s excited for go-karting!

Guess we have similar taste in clothes!

Tazie was so excited to be with Alli again 🙂

And Tazie talked Megan into going on rides with her:

Danny rode his first roller coaster ever!!  Yay kiddo!

Our next day in Ocean City was just as bright and beautiful (and windy!).  We hit the boardwalk:

And the beach:

And Tazie was reunited with her all-time-favorite Pennsylvania friend, Max:

We used the pool a lot (where Tazie made yet more friends!)

And we finished every night with a dinner at Opa’s, where there was something for everyone, including dessert crepes for the kids for dinner.  Who wouldn’t want Nutella for dinner??

Then we faced off with the awe-inspiring Gale Force:

And Susie conquered her considerable fears and did it!  We were so proud!

Tazie showed no fear of most rides…

Except this mini-double-shot…she got pretty sober and her eyes were as big as saucers, but she didn’t cry!

The big girls lived it up as big shots on the real Double Shot!

We loved, loved our recent trip to Ocean City!  We had surprisingly wonderful weather, despite the foreboding forecast.  The kids all had a ball, especially Tazie, who is now old enough to appreciate all of OC’s perks!

All the kids insisted on getting Kohr Brothers (or Kohr “Broze” as they pronounce it!) as soon as we pulled in.  Jimmy is still partial to George’s hard ice cream.  And I wasn’t planning on having much ice cream that week, but because Tazie can’t properly lick an ice cream cone yet, I just had to oblige and help her out day after day.  What a sacrifice on my part, lol!

And we didn’t waste any time getting to the beach.  It was pretty windy the first few days, but we still loved it!

We ate at our favorite Greek restaurant and then headed straight for the rides:

More fun to come!

Ballet Baby

Tazie started taking ballet classes through the town’s Parks & Recreation program.  I can’t tell you how much she loves these classes.  She has the biggest grin on her face through the entire class each week, and she continually peeks over at me and loudly whispers, “This is SO MUCH FUN!!!!”

Chorus Concert

Susie recently performed in her very first chorus concert.  We were SO proud!  The chorus sounded AMAZING, and Susie had a wonderful time.  Way to go!
