Jumping Beans

Tonight the girls spent a long time entertaining themselves by leaping from an ottoman to a nearby couch.  I probably shouldn’t let them jump on the furniture because of the risk of injury to themselves and the furniture, but I just can’t bring myself to stop them.  Here’s my list of justifications for letting their wild and crazy behavior continue uninhibited:

1)  They’re wearing themselves out, presumably leading to better sleep

2)  They’re practicing taking turns

3)  They’re developing coordination and balance

4)  They’re exercising their muscles

5)  It makes them happy. 

6)  Judging by their hair, they’re generating enough static electricity to power a house, which may come in handy if the impending ice storm knocks out our power

So jump away, kiddos!
