Growing Girls

I realized I haven’t posted about the girls’ growth in a while. Here goes! As of their last pediatrician appointment one week ago, Rebecca was weighing in at 9 lbs 4 oz and Susanna was at 8 lbs 9 oz. Susanna has consistently weighed about a half pound smaller than Rebecca since birth. It’s amazing to Jim and I how much heavier Rebecca feels than her sister. One wouldn’t think that a half pound makes that much of a difference. Rebecca seems to keep all her weight in her head, if that’s possible. She’s a brainy girl!

What Susanna lacks in size, however, she makes up for in speed. That child can move. She wiggles around in the crib, so we’re constantly finding her in a vastly different area than the one in which we initially placed her. Sometimes when I hold her, she starts springing up and down like an athlete performing warm-up squats. I wouldn’t be surprised if she skips crawling and goes straight to high-jumping!

Well at least now you can blame Susanna for all the discomfort you felt in your belly while in the hospital!!! Also you can most likely blame Susanna for getting Rebecca on board to go for a carnival ride every time the nurses wanted to take their heart beats! How crazy it must be to actually start to put a person to all the discomfort you felt in your tummy for so long! Channel that engery, however. Athletic scholarships are the way to go!!!!!!! Miss you lots!
