I wish I had the time and energy to thoroughly relate some of my thoughts and feelings about the past few days, but I’m afraid I’ll have to settle for a few disjointed impressions:
1) Having a newborn (even just one!) is exhilarating and utterly exhausting
2) The girls are very sweet big sisters who want to lavish love on their baby brother, but we’ve had to keep them apart because Becky has a cold. I really wish I could let them hug and kiss him! (And especially get pictures of them all together).
3) It’s much tougher to stay up all night with a sleepless newborn when there are two other bundles of energy who need your attention in the daytime.
4) Grandparents are the absolute best!

Jimmy is absolutely adorable. Hope you’re able to get some rest–I see that your mom is here. That’s wonderful. Tell her hello from our family. Looking forward to visiting with you when things settle down. I will come to your place, as I doubt the little guy will be entertained by Shrek on the relatively long journey here! Love you all!
