Swing Set May 17, 2011, at 10:50 pm | We recently decided to get a swing set for our backyard so the girls could have a something to entertain them outdoors on the days when I couldn’t manage to get three kids out of the house and to the local park. We bought a ready-to-assemble kit that came in several enormous boxes and contained elaborate instructions. My husband and father-in-law have started the construction process, and while the whole thing looks like an unsolvable jigsaw puzzle to me, the girls are undaunted by its complexity. They pitch in at every opportunity, and provide comic relief for Jim and his dad as they labor away. I hope the girls always take such pleasure in working with their hands.
