One of our favorite parts of the cabin that we’ve rented in Maryland for the last four years is the kid-friendly yard and stroller-friendly nearby roads. So many fun times there!
Here’s the slide that the kids have enjoyed more and more every year:
Who needs a lake when you can wear your life vest in a mud puddle:
The family hot tub:
My monkeys on the swing set:
My dad built a cardboard castle that the kids (and he) played in for hours:
The family badminton competition has gotten decidedly less competitive as more small bodies have become involved:
We took lots of walks and scooter rides (even Grandpa got in on the scootering!):
Isn’t the scenery there gorgeous?
And thanks to my parents’ stellar babysitting, Jim and I were able to take a scenic drive and enjoy the breathtaking view:
And here we are dining out at some of the local restaurants – we’re pretty fancy, I know, since the place we frequented the most was Dairy Queen. Jimmy is now in love with DQ “handle bars” – a.k.a. Dilly Bars. 🙂
