Becky, peering into the open fridge as I got an apple out for her sister: “Speaking of apples, those are red like strawberries. And speaking of strawberries, they have a Y at the end. Just like blueberry Yogurt!! Can I have some?”

Susie: “She ALWAYS looks like an angel, mom!”

Susie: “Today is Fat Food Day. That means it’s Marti Rock!” (She meant “Fat Tuesday” and “Mardi Gras”)

Becky: “This summer is gonna be as hot as…my breath!”

Jimmy, to Susie: “Are you a grown-up?”
Susie: “I’m a giant.”
