Ever since the time change two weeks ago, getting the girls out of bed in the morning for school has been quite the chore. Before the time change, they would bound downstairs, fully dressed, around 7:00am. Lately, I’ve been shaking them awake at quarter past seven and then practically manually dressing them as they were too incoherent to put one foot in front of the other. Of course, their illnesses haven’t helped (and as I suspected, Susie has pneumonia, too! When she heard the diagnosis, she proudly skipped out of the doctor’s office and told everybody that she had the same sickness as her sister – I think she had been suffering from illness envy!).
So now that everyone is feeling better, I hope that tomorrow morning I’m not greeted by this scene (as angelic as it is). Here’s hoping we can start this week off with a bit more energy!
