Since we end up with our fair share of snowy and rainy days here in New England, I’m always thankful for indoor fun that can entertain a wide range of kids for a long time. And I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much fun my kids have gotten out of a couple of containers of Kinetic sand, which is basically just sand that clumps together well. They play with it very much like playdough, pretending to cook food or make castles, and I love how creative they are with the stuff. What I don’t love, however, is the clean-up. It’s always quite a process to get every last grain of sand off my kitchen floor (and out of the cracks in my kitchen table – I clearly didn’t have kids back when I purchased a grooved table!). When we were cleaning it up last time, I laughed out loud when I noticed the writing on the side of the jar claiming the sand is mess-free. It’s a very messy product – but I’ll say that the mess is definitely worth it!
