Welcome Rebecca Faith and Susanna Joy! July 28, 2008, at 2:23 am | At 11:57PM last night (7/27) we welcomed Rebecca into the world. Her sister Susanna followed her 5 minutes later, which means they have different birthdays! Both are in the NICU right now and seem to be doing well. Rebecca is 4 lbs 9 oz, while Susanna is 4 lbs 1 oz. Rebecca is on a CPAP for the time being, while Susanna seems to be doing well breathing all on her own. Emily is resting, and is also doing well. Please continue to pray for the girls as they get adjusted to life on the outside, and for Emily’s speedy recovery.

ABOUT US I'm blessed to be saved by the grace of God, loved by my wonderful husband Jim, and embraced by my twin girls, Rebecca Faith and Susanna Joy and my sons Jimmy and Danny. I started this blog in May 2008 when I was hospitalized for pre-term labor at 24 weeks gestation. The Lord allowed me to keep the girls inside until they were 34 weeks along, and on July 27th, Rebecca made her debut, followed by Susanna, five minutes later, on July 28th. We ecstatically welcomed Jimmy into our lives on April 25th, 2011, and Danny on August 31, 2012. This blog has been a personal journal of faith and motherhood and the only way I can remember which child did what and when. Thanks for stopping by to share in my Faith and Joy! Feel free to e-mail me at: [email protected].

“Faith” and “Joy” how 100% appropriate for the middle names of these angels!!!!! They will have quite the stories to share with their classmates and how wonderful, they’ll both get their own birthday parties!!! 🙂 You all remain in my prayers! (Oh and Em, thanks for having the babies, I am leaving for a training this morning and will be gone for a week and won’t have email access so now I won’t have to wonder any longer about your ever growing belly!!!) Congrats on the new family!!!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU. I AM SO EXCITED AND CAN’T WAIT TO SEE PICTURES……GOD IS SO GOOD. LOVE BECKY

Congratulations to everyone! What an amazing last 10 weeks it has been. The great blogging by Emily and Jim have made the process very immediate even though we are thousands of miles away. Looking forward to pictures being posted when time permits. Hope you all can get a little rest before the next stage of the adventure begins.
All our love.

Congratulation on the arrival of the girls. Did you know that Alice and Agnes Atherton were known as the “Angel Twins?”
In the early 1960’s there was a big Atherton Family Reunion at Aunt Alice’s house. To keep occupied some of us cousins went around collecting tidbits of family info and published it in a newsletter. The Angel Twins is the only bit I remember from our efforts.
My Love to you and the girls,
Liz
