Super Powers

Jim got me a nifty toy today.  It not only gives me the ability to see through walls, but also the power to see in the dark.  And spy on my kids.  Just call me “Super Agent Mom.”

It’s a video monitor for the nursery, so I can see what the girls are up to without them seeing me.  I’m looking forward to using this miraculous invention to see what’s going on upstairs when they’re supposed to be napping.  They have some awfully rowdy parties up there, and now I’ll be able to tell who instigates the giggling, who initiates the toy-throwing, and who makes faces at whom.  I’ve always wanted to be a “fly on the wall,” and now I can!  Thanks hon, for giving me the gift of my very own spy-cam!

    Happy Happy Birthday, Emily
    Love,
    Mom & Dad

  • Let me know how it works out! I’ve been thinking about getting one of those but they are pretty pricey. I’ve heard pro’s and cons from friends on different brands & which one is best.

I think the Mommy cam will come in handy when the girls become teenagers as well.

If only you had the camera on a remote control helicopter so you can get different angles and have fun to boot! But then again, the girls might get suspicious if there was a crazy helicopter flying around their room every time they didn’t take their nap, which might prove to work against you 🙂

  • Mom, thank you!

Janet, I’ll definitely let you know! So far, I love this one! It’s a refurbished ZOpid. The image is better than I would have expected, even at night. I’ll let you know how it works out!

Dad, you’re always thinking! (You didn’t have a secret one for us, did you? 🙂 )

Angie, I love it! You always come up with the best ideas. But you’re right – it may discourage slumber during naptime, which would ultimately drive me crazy!

Jimmy always finds the fun stuff. I am glad Emily & Buddy are older or we would have them seeing who had better baby toys! One of those for the basement would work out well when all Emily’s friends are over.

  • That is so cool! That would still come in handy even with mine being older now!! =)

  • Sadie and Tina, yes – I think this is the gift that will keep on giving! Its uses with grow as the girls grow and they get into more and more trouble! 🙂

  • I was thinking about this last night. I’d sure love to have one of these as well! I put my dd down for her nap and she talks and plays for sometimes up to an hour! I’d sure like to know what she’s up to, since she doesn’t have any toys in her crib. And once she’s sleeping it would be nice to check in on her without opening the door. My dd’s such a light sleeper!
