I was very excited to go apple-picking today with my friend Julie and her three-year-old daughter Charlotte. It was just the sort of activity I needed to help me get in the mood for Fall. Of course, the non-Fall-like 85-degree weather today helped lift my spirits as well!
Susie (far left): “I’m glad my blue apple bag coordinates with my overalls.”
Becky (far left): “Mom always said I climb like a mountain goat.”
Becky: “Hurry up with the bag, sister. I’ve got to keep up the picking pace with Charlotte!”
Susie: “You go ahead and pick. I’ll do the taste testing.”
Becky: “Hmm…your form could use some work. Watch the apple-munching master.”
Becky: “You’ve got to crunch down hard like THIS!”
Susie: “Good thing my fingers aren’t any longer.”
Becky: “Susie, you’re going too slow. Let me help you with the accelerator.”
Charlotte: “Apples taste even better upside-down!”
Susie: “Thanks for taking us apple-picking, Charlotte. You’re the best!”
Love the pictures of the girls eating the apples! How precious! We’ve got a couple more weeks out here before we are going to the orchard for apples & pumpkins!
