Sunnyside Up May 25, 2011, at 9:45 pm | It was a gorgeous hot and sunny day today, so I dressed the girls in the only pairs of shorts I could find (note to self: go shopping!), grabbed the Baby Bjorn front pack that my cousin is generously lending to me, and set off on a hike.
The girls were thrilled…
Jimmy was thrilled (for all of five minutes before he conked out)…
And I was thrilled to take in some new scenery.
So thankful for the sunshine and my sunny kiddos!

ABOUT US I'm blessed to be saved by the grace of God, loved by my wonderful husband Jim, and embraced by my twin girls, Rebecca Faith and Susanna Joy and my sons Jimmy and Danny. I started this blog in May 2008 when I was hospitalized for pre-term labor at 24 weeks gestation. The Lord allowed me to keep the girls inside until they were 34 weeks along, and on July 27th, Rebecca made her debut, followed by Susanna, five minutes later, on July 28th. We ecstatically welcomed Jimmy into our lives on April 25th, 2011, and Danny on August 31, 2012. This blog has been a personal journal of faith and motherhood and the only way I can remember which child did what and when. Thanks for stopping by to share in my Faith and Joy! Feel free to e-mail me at: [email protected].

Great pictures of a beautiful day. It was cold and rainy all day in ” Sunny ” California.

It was gorgeous, and it looks like you guys had fun! Jimmy’s first hike! Yay. Keep that Baby Bjorn around for boating this summer.
Do you like your Baby Bjorn? My sister got us one and Brent loves the feel of it, but I am still thinking about an Eurgo. Thoughts????? Super cute pictures and am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous of your nice weather. We were a hot 58 today!
Brittny, I do really like the Bjorn, but I’ve never tried an Ergo, so I can’t compare. The baby feels very secure and supported in the Bjorn, although I wouldn’t say he feels light – I could see myself getting tired if I were wearing it for a really long time (which I doubt I’ll do). My cousin (who gave us the Bjorn) said she uses an Ergo now that her son is a year and a half old. She wrote: “(Her son)…likes the Ergo and he never feels too heavy in it. It is nice now that he is older he enjoys being in it on our backs and he can look over our shoulders and see where we are going. The Ergo works either facing in on your front or on your back but not facing out on your front. The Baby Bjorn is only on your front but can face in or out. When he was a little baby he liked being able to face out and look around. Unfortunately there is no baby carrier that works in all three position options.”
I hope that helps!
Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! That is super helpful! Knowing that, I think we may end up keeping the Bjorn and getting an Ergo for me. After 2 rear-end car accidents I really need to be focused on making him as light as possible! I sooooo appreciate your input (or at least your cousin’s). Thank you a million!
