Magic School Bus May 26, 2011, at 9:37 pm | The girls are currently obsessed with a “Magic School Bus” DVD from their Grammie. For those who aren’t familiar with the cartoon series, it features school children led on adventures by their eccentric teacher. The class boards a magic bus that takes them on educational tours of the human body, weather patterns, and the like. Given how raptly they watch the show, I was hoping the girls would regale me with their newfound knowledge of how the digestive system works, or how our skeleton holds up our bodies.
Nope.
They’re all about the bus. Becky even created a “bus” in our family room made out of chairs:
If I remember correctly, one of my birthday wishes when I was a young child was to take a ride on a bus. Perhaps my girls will be so easily pleased!

ABOUT US I'm blessed to be saved by the grace of God, loved by my wonderful husband Jim, and embraced by my twin girls, Rebecca Faith and Susanna Joy and my sons Jimmy and Danny. I started this blog in May 2008 when I was hospitalized for pre-term labor at 24 weeks gestation. The Lord allowed me to keep the girls inside until they were 34 weeks along, and on July 27th, Rebecca made her debut, followed by Susanna, five minutes later, on July 28th. We ecstatically welcomed Jimmy into our lives on April 25th, 2011, and Danny on August 31, 2012. This blog has been a personal journal of faith and motherhood and the only way I can remember which child did what and when. Thanks for stopping by to share in my Faith and Joy! Feel free to e-mail me at: [email protected].

Meet me some Monday for a ride! (Monday’s are not so hectic). My seniors would love to see the girls!
For your Third birthday, all you wanted was a bus ride and long hair.
We took about a one mile bus ride, and I fashioned a long yarn braid with a barret on top to place in your hair.
You also wanted corn rows like “Olivia on Sesame Street” but that was harder to provide.
I think you had a good birtday. We have videos of it.
Love,
Mom
Oh yes, you also got a baby sister three weeks before your birthday even though you wanted a puppy. Oh well.
